The solution of the diversity problem?

The Swedish Radio has the second place on the toplist of most trustworthiness things in Sweden. But still they have to work hard to be a diversity organization. I don’t think that the equation is working very well. Because if you are one of the most trustful organizations I feel that you should be a fair organization by yourself, automatically. You should not even have to think about who you are employing, it should just be right.


But (a big BUT)
I think that it’s great of the Swedish Radio to work with diversity and gender equality. You have start somewhere, don’t you?


And I believe that the Swedish Radio works like a kind of a role model to the Swedish people. Still they got 4 000 000 listeners every day! That is nearly half of the whole Swedish population!


The Swedish Radio has since the last a year a project called “Diversity Reporter”. Anna Olofsson and Niklas Kaldner declared that they liked the project a lot. This because their reporter from Senegal got a different point view of things, and a different network. This makes the perspective much more wide. So YES!

I agree that the project with a “Diversity Reporter” is a good thing to start with. But I really hope that diversity and gender equality soon will work by itself. First we just have to stop the Swedish Democrats though =/

I definitely agree with you Sofia. Diversity brings value to all organisations and it's a sad fact that Sweden, one of the most equal countries in the world, still underestimates this value.
